Start this ride by leaving the lakeside of Boca Resevoir winding your way into the forest. There are many side trails you can take that will fall right back onto the main trail if you wish. Pass by Crystal Mine Campground and continue up the hill to Crystal Mine. Park at the bottom and walk up or engage 4WD and drive up to the peak of Crystal Mine for the best view.
